Norwich Scuba - Full range of scuba diving courses available from beginner PADI courses to advanced technical, TDI, DAN training. Fully equiped dive shop also available.
TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver
This course teaches divers to use EAN (Nitrox) 21 through to 100% oxygen for optimal mixes to a depth of 40m. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilising EAN21 to 100% oxygen for dives NOT requiring staged decompression. Decompression Procedures may be combined with this course at the discretion of the instructor.

What do I need to start?
- Have a minimum certification of TDI Nitrox Diver (or equivalent)
- Be at least 15 years old (If this course is taught in conjunction with the Decompression Procedures course, then the minimum age is 18)
- Show proof of at least 25 logged open water dives

Course Duration
The course is run over 2-3 days
TDI Decompression Procedures Diver
This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. This program is designed as a stand alone course or it may be taught in conjunction with such TDI courses as Advanced Nitrox, Advanced Wreck or Extended Range. The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 45m, unless taught in conjunction with the Extended Range course. The most common equipment requirements, gear set-up and decompression techniques are presented. Students are permitted to utilize EANx mixes or oxygen for decompression provided the gas mix is within their current certification level.

What do I need to start?
- Have a minimum certification of TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years old
- Show proof of at least 25 logged open water dives

Course Duration
This course is run over 2-3 days
TDI Extended Range Diver
This course provides training and experience required to competently utilise air for dives up to 55m that requires staged decompression, utilising nitrox mixes or oxygen during decompression. The objective of this course is to train divers in the proper techniques, equipment requirements and hazards of deep air diving to a maximum depth of 55m.

What do I need to start?
- Be certified as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver (or equivalent)
- Be certified as a TDI Decompression Procedures Diver (or equivalent)
- Show proof of at least 100 logged open water dives
- Be at least 18 years old

Course Duration
The course takes place over 4-5 days
TDI Entry Level Trimix
The TDI Entry Level Trimix Course provides the training required to competently and safely utilise breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilising Nitrox or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60m. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilising custom O2/He/N2 mixtures as breathing gases.

What do I need to start?

- Be certified as a TDI Advanced Nitrox
- Be certified as a TDI Decompression Procedures Diver
- Show proof of at least 100 logged open water dives
- Be at least 18 years old

Course Duration

Rebreather Courses
We are also able to offer Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) training on the following units: Inspiration (Classic and Vision), Evolution and Megalodon. We offer Air Diluent, Mixed Gas and Advanced Mixed Gas CCR Courses, all at diver level and instructor level, from both TDI and IANTD:

Air Diluent CCR

The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving on a CCR using an air diluent. The course qualifies divers to perform air CCR dives outside of training to a maximum depth of 42m. This course is unit specific.

What do I need to start?
- Have a minimum certification of TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver or equivalent
- Show proof of at least 100 logged open water dives
- Be at least 18 years old

Course Duration
The course takes place over 5 days
Mixed Gas CCR
This is the intermediate level certification course for divers wishing to utilise a Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) for mixed gas diving. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for mixed gasa diving on a CCR, utilizing a mixed gas diluent containing 16% or greater oxygen, and to develop intermediate CCR diving skills appropriate to technical diving to a maximum depth of 60m.The course is unit specific.

What do I need to start?

- Be certified as a Air Diluent CCR Diver (or equivalent)
- Show proof of 50 logged rebreather hours distributed over a minimum of 50 dives on the specific rebreather. 25 dives must be deeper than 20m. All dives must be deeper than 9m.
- If you have 50 hours on another CCR unit, only 25 hours are required to be on the unit this course is to be taken with.
- Be at least 18 years old

Course Duration
The course takes place over 5 days
Advanced Mixed Gas CCR
This is the highest level certification course for divers wishing to utilize a CCR for Advanced Mixed gas diving. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for advanced mixed gas diving on a CCR and to develop advanced CCR diving skills appropriate to technical diving to a maximum depth of 100m. This course is unit specific.

What do I need to start?
- Have completed an Air Diluent CCR and Mixed Gas CCR Courses (or equivalent)
- Show proof of a minimum 100 logged rebreather hours distributed over a minimum of 100 dives on the specific CCR. 50 dives must be deeper than 30m. All dives must be deeper than 9m.
