PADI
Rescue Diver - £350 (Rescue Diver and Emergency First Response Combined £410)
The PADI Rescue Diver programme will expand
your knowledge and experience beyond recreational level. You’ll
learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well-being
of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable
way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you
to prevent problems, and if necessary manage dive emergencies.
The course includes 1 Knowledge Development session, 3 pool sessions
and 2 days at open water. During the course, you will learn how to
deal with various rescue situations, from panicked divers at the surface,
to searching for and rescuing an unresponsive diver underwater. Each
of our pool sessions is 2 and a half hours long, which means you have
plenty of time for practicing new skills and techniques.
The Knowledge Development sessions take place in one of our on-site
classrooms. The pool sessions take place at the Hewett School. The open water dives take place at Gildenburgh
Water in Whittlesey, which is the perfect environment for preparing
you to manage dive emergencies.
You need to have a First Aid and CPR qualification to participate in
the Rescue Diver course. If you haven’t got this, it can be arranged
as part of your course. We conduct the Emergency First Response course
which covers these requirements. You also have the option of completing
the DAN Oxygen Provider course to enhance your learning in this area.
Please Note: In order to enrol on the PADI Rescue Diver course,
you must hold a current first aid/CPR certification such as the Emergency
First Response (EFR) detailed above. |
