 Joe (Batman)
Joe is a PADI Master Instructor, TDI Trimix Instructor, DSAT Instructor, DAN Instructor and CCR Diver. Joe has 13 years experience, over 6000 logged
dives
and has certified
over 1200 divers. As well as a being the Managing Director of Norwich Scuba, he also oversees all aspects of the dive centre and is responsible
for scheduling courses. He is also an Equipment Service Technician.
Before starting Norwich Scuba in 2000, he worked as an instructor
in Malta, Denmark and the Caribbean. Joe’s favourite diving
is deep wreck diving, as well as underwater photography. Joe loves diving on his Inspiration Rebreather, and is busy logging dives/hours to qualify for his CCR Instructor Course. Nice hood Joe! |
 Nik (Naughty Nicki)
Nik is a PADI Master Instructor, EFR Instructor Trainer and TDI Trimix Diver, with 7 years experience, over 1400 logged dives and 700 certifications. Nik teaches courses from Open Water to Assistant Instructor and assists on Instructor Development Courses. As well as being the Training Manager at Norwich Scuba, she also co-ordinates our diving holidays and organises Project AWARE fundraising events. She is also in charge of updating our website. Nik's favourite type of diving is wreck diving, both in the UK and abroad. Nik has a habit of losing everything, and can often be found walking round the dive centre looking for her keys!

Paul (The Toominator)
Paul is a PADI Course Director, DSAT Instructor Trainer in Tec Deep, Gas Blender and Trimix, a DAN Instructor Trainer, EFR Instructor Trainer, TDI Instructor (up to Closed Circuit Rebreather) to name just a few (the list is very long!) He is one of only a handful of Platinum Course Directors in the UK (the highest award a Course Director can achieve) and can teach the entire range of PADI Specialities at Instructor level. Paul co-ordinates our Instructor Development programs from Open Water Instructor to IDC Staff Instructor. He has dived in many locations around the world including Mozambique, Austria and the British Virgin Islands. His favourite dives include gliding under ice in Russia and a night dive with sharks in the Maldives. Paul is currently planning a 200m dive! Good Luck Paul!

Chris (Shop Boy)
Chris jetted off to Thailand last year to work as a PADI Divemaster and to take his Instructor Development Course. He is now back in the UK, and has returned to work for us as a PADI Instructor. As well as working in the dive centre during the week, you'll also see him at our pool sessions and at open water. Chris has been diving for 7 years, and has dived in many exotic locations including the Caribbean, Red Sea, Thailand, and of course the UK. He enjoys all types of diving, but especially deep wrecks. Welcome back Chris, we missed you!

John (JR)
John has been a PADI Instructor since 2003 and an EFR Instructor. He has recently had some time away from teaching to pursue his own diving interests. John enjoys teaching all levels of diving, but especially the Advanced Open Water course. He enjoys underwater photography, and is looking forward to his TDI Advanced Nitrox course that he is taking soon. He has dived in many locations around the world including the Caribbean, Red Sea, Maldives and of course, the UK. John, along with his wife Jenny, can't wait for his holiday to the Maldives in a couple of weeks time, where he is hoping to get some photos of Manta Rays and possibly even whale sharks.

 Zoe (Smurf)
Zoe is a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and EFR Instructor, who has been diving for 6 years. Zoe can usually be found underwater, helping out at our pool sessions with all levels of training. She is also a regular on our holidays, and has recently come back from our Scapa Flow trip, where she had a fab time. She has recently earned her TDI Decompression Procedures Diver qualification, and is looking forward to lots of deco dives in the future. Zoe enjoys diving anywhere warm and clear!

Martin (Stan)
Martin is a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and EFR Instructor. He has over 3 years experience and 350 logged dives. Martin works part-time at Norwich Scuba and teaches entry level and EFR courses. Martin’s enjoys all types of diving. He seems to always be on holiday diving. He has recently come back from a Antigua, and only a couple of months ago was living a life of luxury in Tenerife, diving from a private luxury speed boat! Oh the life!

Graham (Dad, Grandad)
Graham is a PADI Assistant Instructor (and the longest serving member of the Norwich Scuba team!), who runs the PADI Seal Team and Bubblemaker sessions, as well as helping out with all levels of courses. He has over 7 years of experience and 350 logged dives. Graham's favourite type of diving is Shark diving, and he is often jetting over to the Caribbean to get up close with them. Graham is our in-house DIY man, and can often be found walking round with a spanner in his hand, usually with a cup of coffee in the other!

 Mark (The Love Man/Captain Slow)
Mark is a PADI Divemaster who has been diving for 3 years. Mark helps out mainly with the Open Water course, but enjoys helping out with all levels of training. He enjoys all types of diving, but particularly reefs and wrecks. Mark is a regular on our holidays, and has been to the Red Sea with us many a time. Mark can normally be found diving in a wetsuit (whatever the temperature of the water), but has now decided that it can go on no longer, and has invested in a Drysuit (at last!) Mark has recently completed his TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures Courses, and is about to embark on his PADI Assistant Instructor Course!

Jenny (Jen)
Jenny is a PADI Divemaster and EFR Instructor who has been diving for 5 years. After saying that she would never dive, she has now well and truly got the bug and has over 300 logged dives. Jenny enjoys helping out at our Thursday night pool sessions, mainly with Open Water courses, but enjoys conducting tune up's too. Jenny enjoys both diving in the UK and abroad, and is often jetting off to exotic locations on holiday. Last year Jenny participated in a manta ray research project in the Maldives, and she is jetting back out there in a couple of weeks time for a 2 week liveaboard holiday. Enjoy it Jen!

 Carl (The Milky Bar Kid)
Carl is a PADI Divemaster, who has been diving for 3 years. Carl enjoys conducting scuba tune-ups in the pool, as well as helping out with Open Water Diver courses. He enjoys the challenge of diving in the UK, as well as diving in the crystal clear water abroad. Carl can often be found carrying a Milky Bar lunchbox, hence his nickname! He usually pops into the shop a few times a week, to drink us dry of tea and coffee. Carl is about to embark on his PADI Assistant Instructor Course!

 Deco (The Diving Dog)
Deco is a 2 year old Border Terrier, who is responsible for shop security and surface interval entertainment. He enjoys swimming, chasing after birds, chewing on bones and eating anything that isn’t dog food. Deco loves attention and is very friendly. He can often be found lying next to the classroom window, watching the world go by or chasing geese/causing havoc at our local dive sites!
